Honesty.

Honesty is really important in a relationship, but the main point i'm going to bring up is sexually. If you have been with other people not long before you and your current partner have been together, tell him/her. Your partner deserves to know what he/she is getting into. Make sure you both get tested before making any kind of physical commitment, you wouldn't believe how much of a difference it'll make!
