Family time vs. Boyfriend/ girlfriend time?
My advice is, combine the two. Obviously have your separate time but also try to make sure you all spend some time together too.
Breaking up?
When do you know if you are ready to break up? Generally I would say when you two start to fight constantly and things do not get better. Also, if you feel like you are always unhappy or unhappy most of the time. Those n are two signs to look for.

When too much is just too much.
When you and your partner do EVERYTHING together.
When you have to take him/her to work or school with you.
When you can't go 5 mins without talking to him/her.
When they don't consider anyone else who is involved but you and themselves.
SOmetimes too much is just that, too much!
